Creativity

C = ME2 ® (CREATIVITY IS ME TOO!) – Michael Porter’s Theory of Creativity

No matter what your religious faith is, try praying the Prosperity Prayer:

I am the source of all wealth.  I am rich with creative ideas. My mind abounds with new, original, inspired thoughts. What I have to offer is unique, and the world desires it.  My value is beyond reckoning. What the world needs and desires, I am ready to produce and give. What the world needs and desires, I recognize and fulfill. The bounty of my mind is without hindrance or limit. Nothing can stand in the way of my inspired creativeness.  The overflowing power of God life energy overcomes every obstacle,  and pours out into the world, blessing & prospering everyone and everything through me.  I radiate blessings, I radiate creativity, I radiate prosperity, I radiate loving service. I radiate joy, beauty, peace, wisdom & power. Humanity seeks me and rewards me. I am beloved of the world. I am wanted wherever I go.  I am appreciated. What I have to offer is greatly desired. What I have to offer brings a rich reward. Through my vision the world is blessed.  Through my clear thinking & steadfast purpose, wonderful new values come into expression. My vision is as the vision of the mighty ones. My faith is as the faith of the undefeatable. My power to accomplish is unlimited. I, in my uttermost God Source, am all wealth, all power and all productivity. I hereby declare my financial freedom, NOW and henceforth forever!

From the Wall Street Journal back in 2009, this is one of the coolest articles I have ever read about the human mind!

CLEESE ON CREATIVITY

Here is the lecture by John Cleese on creativity and the power of the subconscious mind.  If you had NO idea who(m) he is and had never heard of Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, A Fish Called Wanda or seen him as “Q” in the recent James Bond 007 films starring Daniel Craig — you would think him to be a serious professor! This is “keys to the kingdom” stuff!

THE REAL KNIGHT WHO SAYS “NI!”

Sir Ken Robinson on “Creativity” (This guy is MY role model) Dr. Ken Robinson was knighted in 2006 for his contributions to education and the arts in the U.K.  His TED lecture on “Why Schools Kill Creativity” went viral among American educators.

Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Philosophy of Composition” (Poe rises from the grave 150 years after his untimely death to share his genius on how he wrote “The Raven?!)

Here is an OUTLINE of it to make it easier to read (pretty heady stuff!)

BAD INFINITUM…

Here is where I got the idea. In Words at Play, Willard R. Espy states one of the most challenging forms of poetry is the single-rhymed verse. Pretend you are writing a new set of flash cards for adults (we could use them) and all 26 cards MUST have the same rhyme! Again, here was my best effort…

“A” is for “Apple” – you eat to the core.

“B” is for “Bell” – you ring at a door.

“C” is for “Check” – you bounce at the store.

“D” is for “Deck” – which is a ship’s floor.

“E” is for “Empty” – when there ain’t no more!

“F” is for “Fire” – so you can roast s’mores.

“G” is for “Grandpa” – who sure can snore.

“H” is for “Homeless” – now they’re really POOR.

“I” is for “Islands” – like the Azores.

“J” is for “Jordan” – now ruled by Queen Noor.

“K” Is for “Kids” – who never do chores!

“L” is for “Love” – the ones you adore!

“M” is for “Minestrone” – the soup du jour!

“N” is for “Nessie” – is she Scottish folklore?

“O” is for “OO7” – remember Pussy Galore?

“P” is for “Patch” – when your pants are tore.

“Q” is for “Quest” – on that road you explore.

“R” is for “Rower” – who uses an oar.

“S” is for “Saddle” – which makes cowboys sore.

“T” is for “Tee Off” – make sure you yell “Four!”

“U” is for “Umbrella” –  when it rains it pours!

“V” is for “Vice Prez” – who once was Al Gore.

“W” is for “Winning” – so you need to score!

“X’ is for “Xena” – the Princess of War!

“Y” is for “Yesterday” – today’s day before!

“Z” is for “Zsa Zsa” – whose last name is Gabor.

FEED YOUR HEAD FIRST!

A link of “The Brain Diet” by Alan C. Logan and don’t forget Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio should be 1:1

http://www.amazon.com/Brain-Diet-Connection-Nutrition-Intelligence/dp/1581826001/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1254331609&sr=1-1

2KOOL4SKOOL BRAIN FACTS

The human brain is approximately 60% fat (We are ALL fat heads)

The human brain is approximately 75% water (the fat is also comprised of water)

The human brain weighs approximately 3 pounds

The human brain uses 20% of the body’s energy (it is an energy HOG)

The human brain is made of 100 billion nerve cells and trillions of synapses

The human brain cannot access body fat for energy reserves like our other organs and muscles

The human brain is mysteriously affected by what is in our intestines (i.e. too much yeast or too much bad bacteria)

The human brain is a bath of 100 chemicals (some the body can produce on its own, some it cannot)

The human brain is NOW affected (adversely mainly) by the 75,000 man-made chemicals in our “modern” food supply (BTW, some of these “man-made” chemicals are allowed to be labeled to consumers as “natural” by the FDA)

The human brain runs on ONLY ONE fuel – glucose!

The human brain cannot store much glucose at a time (it has a small gas tank) so it must be constantly fueled

The human brain wants to be fed carbohydrates (simple or complex) so it can convert its own glucose to be released as required (NO SUGAR HIGHS ARE NEEDED!)

The human brain doesn’t mind a little caffeine as a “fuel additive” but caffeine is NOT a fuel (and neither is alcohol)

The human brain operates best at a close 1:1 ratio of the essential fatty acids Omega 3: Omega 6 (3 is rare, 6 is EVERYWHERE!)
